Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which users may cancel their subscription to the KontentBook platform. By subscribing to our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Subscription Plans Covered
This policy applies to all paid subscription plans:
- Monthly Plan — Billed every month, auto-renews on the original purchase date
- Yearly Plan — Billed once per year, auto-renews on the original purchase date
2. How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
You may also contact support at founders@kontentbook.in for assistance.
3. What "Cancellation" Means
Cancellation stops your payment mandate — no future charges will be made after your current paid period ends. Your account remains fully active with all paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
When you cancel, the mandate is stopped at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep access to all features until your current period expires.
Cancellation does not result in an automatic refund.
4. Monthly Plan Cancellation
4.1 Access After Cancellation
Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. No further charges apply after that date.
Example
- Billing Date: 5th May
- Cancellation Date: 20th May
- Access continues until: 5th June
4.2 Refund Policy
Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable once a billing cycle has begun.
Refunds may be considered at the company's discretion for:
- Duplicate billing
- Technical issues that prevented service usage for a significant portion of the billing period
- Billing errors by the platform
To request a refund, email founders@kontentbook.in within 7 days of the charge with your registered email and a brief description of the issue. Refund requests are reviewed manually. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may be full or partial at the company's discretion.
5. Yearly Plan Cancellation
5.1 Access After Cancellation
Your account remains active until the end of the paid annual period. No further annual renewals will occur.
Example
- Purchase Date: 1st January 2026
- Cancellation Date: 15th March 2026
- Access continues until: 31st December 2026
5.2 Refund Policy
Yearly subscriptions are generally non-refundable due to discounted pricing.
Refund requests for yearly plans may be considered for:
- Duplicate billing
- Technical issues that prevented service usage
- Billing errors by the platform
Users who cancel within 7 days of the initial yearly purchase may request a full or partial refund. Eligibility is reviewed manually and subject to:
- Usage not exceeding 25% of the plan's monthly credit limits during the window
- Review by the support team
To request a refund, email founders@kontentbook.in within 7 days of purchase. There is no automatic refund — all requests are manually reviewed.
6. Auto-Renewal
All subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Monthly Plans: Renew every month on the date of original purchase
- Yearly Plans: Renew every year on the date of original purchase
To avoid renewal charges, cancel before your renewal date. Your next billing date is visible in Settings → Subscription.
7. Changing Your Plan
7.1 Switching Billing Cycle (Monthly ↔ Yearly)
There is no automated plan-switch at this time. To change your billing cycle:
- Cancel your current subscription (access continues until the period ends)
- Purchase the new plan when your current period expires

7.2 Upgrading Your Tier (e.g. Creator → Pro)
To upgrade, cancel your current plan and subscribe to the higher tier. The new plan takes effect immediately upon successful payment. Contact support if you need help managing the transition.
7.3 Downgrading Your Tier (e.g. Pro → Creator)
To downgrade, cancel your current subscription. Your current plan remains active until the billing period ends. You may then subscribe to the lower tier.
8. Abuse and Policy Violations
The company reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts immediately without refund if users violate:
- Terms of Service
- Acceptable Use Policy
- Fraud or payment abuse rules
9. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
If a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated:
- The account may be temporarily suspended
- Access to services may be restricted until the dispute is resolved
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
